"America": Just what I thought when I first met my american cousins. Imagine this scene, a 5 year old girl scolding me for taking off my seatbelt to get something from the floor of the car. At first I was confused, & tried to tell her it would be all right that nothing would happen to me, but then she explained she was afraid the policemen would give us a ticket & take my mom (who was driving). I insisted that nothing would happen, & left it off to prove my point (we were there anyway).
It’s almost ironic how nearly everyone we know is desensitized by fear. We can’t even have a fair ruling in a justice court session without speaking politely to the judges. “y-y-yes your hon-n-nor. B-b-b-brainwash mal-mal-function”, for fear of a negative ruling. We have such a corrupt system. And what’s worse? They are starting to get to children.

It’s no wonder that we don’t feel true freedom from persecution in this nation. Since kindergarten we have been brainwashed to fear authority and have been trained to “pledge our allegiance” to a flag that stands for nothing but a crumbling social economy and deviated happiness. Don’t get me wrong, I love this nation. But it sickens me to see it in the state that it’s in. This corporate greed machine, fueled by american debt, love of money and power and ignorance of other struggling countries, has been oiled down and kept running by the corrupt, yet slick, politicians and presidents throughout history. Fighting, greed, power and ignorance will be the downfall of this country that so many men, women and children have already died for.
